The subject of the study were films and cartoons made from 1937 to 2013. Among the films were horror films ("Six Demons of Emily Rose"), and thrillers ("Pulp Fiction", "Black Swan").
In the end, it turned out that cartoon characters were killed 3 times more often than in movies. Parents of characters of animated films died 5 times more often than feature films. In many cartoons, their heroes died almost immediately. For example, Tarzan's parents killed the leopard already in the fourth minute of the cartoon of the same name.
