The simplest and fastest cooking option for a hearty lunch or dinner is pork steak.

An interesting fact - no matter how you cook it - in the oven, in a pan or in a slow cooker, the meat in any case turns out to be tasty and juicy!

It is customary to cook beef steak, but such a dish is not very tender and soft. But the option of pork completely changes the situation!

Pork steak - general principles of preparation

For a steak, it is better to take fresh meat. It should be pinkish in color, with a pleasant smell.

In the piece of pork that you take for the dish, there must be a layer of fat - this will give tenderness to the future steak. If you buy meat in a package, then make sure that there is not a lot of liquid inside the bag.

Fry the meat for the steak in pieces or knead the minced meat and cook the flat cutlets. A piece of meat for better frying and quick cooking needs to be cut against the fibers. Its width should not exceed two centimeters. For minced meat, it is better to scroll through a large sieve of a meat grinder along with onions. If desired, pork for cutlets can simply be chopped finely, so the meat will better retain its juiciness.

Marinate a classic steak only with salt and pepper, but for a more interesting taste, you can add spices, lemon juice, mayonnaise or mustard. You can also combine the dish with an egg, vegetables or cheese. Cook the steak in the oven, pan, or in the slow cooker.

Serve the steak with fried or boiled potatoes, with fresh or steamed vegetables, herbs, porridge, or serve as the main dish with slices of brown bread.
