Leather and suede garments always look luxurious and elegant, but they require delicate care. Over time, they may lose their soft appearance. The easiest way - to give the thing to dry cleaning. But you can do it on your own. It is only necessary to observe the rules of "resuscitation" and storage of capricious suede and leather.

Suede

  • Stains from ice cream, wine or blood on suede should first be washed with water. Only then you can use chemistry: powders, agents from stains, etc. Contrary to popular belief, it is not recommended to add saline solutions when wet cleaning suede clothes. Salt discolor suede and "stuck" spots. It is more difficult to fight fat stains. Initially, the oil blot must be dipped in a napkin, and then wiped with burlap or other coarse cloth dipped in gasoline.
  • With respect to suede products, it is not allowed to feed them. Pile should always be fluff and live. To do this, use brass or rubber brushes, ammonia or acetic acid solution. Small contaminated areas can be cleaned with chewing gum, fine salt or fresh bread crumb.
  • To suede looked "fresh" and not lost color, you can use aerosol products. Only they are suitable for things black and brown. For colored things, you can use a special paint.
  • Before a suede thing is stored in a closet, it must be thoroughly cleaned with a soft brush, a vacuum cleaner (in a weak mode), “polished” with a lint-free cloth (if it comes to shoes), dried and coated with antimol.

Leather

  • Skin less capricious. She tolerates wet cleaning. Dip a cotton swab or a soft, clean cloth in warm water or milk. For heavily soiled leather products, soap suds can be used. It is applied with a brush or soft brush. Then the skin should be wiped with a damp cloth.
  • To prevent cracked skin, before drying, lubricate the leather item with castor oil, cream, fish oil, or other oil that will give it shine and elasticity.
  • Keep leather items away from sunlight, heat and humidity. Cotton or linen covers can be used for jackets, coats and shoes.

General rules

  • Leather and suede clothes are not recommended to be washed, ironed and blow-dried with a hairdryer or other electrical appliances.
  • If necessary, products made of natural suede and leather can be washed in lukewarm water, without the use of chemicals. Wringing, twisting and performing any manipulations with wet suede and leather should not be.
