December is approaching, and very soon the time will come to decorate the Christmas tree. The most popular Christmas tree decorations are balls. They come in a variety of sizes and colors, and make them not only out of glass. Bright and original Christmas balls can be made of felt. Sewing them is easy and interesting - you can show imagination and escape from the daily bustle. (Photo 1)
- turquoise felt;
- gray felt;
- red felt with white hearts;
- threads of red, turquoise, gray and yellow;
- golden lace or elastic;
- golden ribbon;
- a needle;
- a pencil;
- scissors.
- Let's make a paper pattern of the ball, which will consist of four parts:
- back part;
- front part;
- top part;
- heart.
Details need to be copied from the screen onto paper or cardboard and cut out.
The front part of the ball is also cut out of turquoise felt.
Cut the heart out of red felt with a white pattern.
From the gray felt we will cut out the two upper parts of the ball.
Take the front part of the ball and place a red heart under it so that it completely covers the window on the part. Sew the heart to the front part of the ball with red threads, making basting stitches of the same length.
The front part of the ball is compatible with the back part of the ball and sew them along the edge with turquoise threads. We will sew the parts together with a trimming seam, and in the upper part we will leave a hole.
Now you need to fill the ball with holofiber. Since the packing hole is small, it will be easier to fill the ball by pushing the holofiber with a pencil.
In the upper part of the ball on both sides we apply the upper parts cut from gray felt. We will sew these parts to the ball from two sides, and we won’t sew up the upper side yet.
Take a piece of golden lace or elastic about 20 cm long and tie the ends together to make a loop.
From a golden ribbon we fold the bow and pull it in the middle with a yellow thread.
We put the loop of the loop in the hole on the ball. Sew this hole, sewing and a loop.
Sew a bow to the ball with yellow threads.
Elegant Christmas ball made of felt is ready. Such New Year's toys are quite practical - they do not fight and serve for many years. Balls made of felt are great for decorating a nursery, as the child will not break them. If you show imagination, you can make many beautiful toys from felt to decorate the Christmas tree.
